Breed

To raise the genetic inside of a line breeding , without resorting to coverings from stallions with PG top , there are basicamenti two ways : to " generations " and "half generations."
The first technique involves giving birth to a stallion and a mare with a foal PG aprox equal male and a female and then cross them with each other, then they mate always brothers . The growth from one generation to the next will be greater but it takes more effort because you have to grow two horses at the same time before you can make the next pair .
The second technique always works by crossing parents and children: a good horse and a good stallion I give birth to a foal of the opposite sex to the parent with the highest PG and the cross again with that, moving forward in a zig- zag always between parent and child . For example , from a mare and a stallion PG 350 PG 352 I rise a filly that will PG approx. 354 , I can pair with the father to have a colt (PG ca. 356), that the cross again with the mother to have another female (PG ca. 358 ) and so on. The jumps from generation to generation are smaller but as each generation consists of a single horse can move faster .
For both methods it is essential to bring prospective parents to good levels of BLUP before you cross them , so almost always the PG to the birth of the foal will be quite higher than average among parents (sometimes almost 2 points) ...
